 Hi boys and girls, I wanted to remind you to practice for your US map quiz on 9/12/13 this weekend!! Also, please start to bring in baked goods next week for the fundraiser that we are doing at the front office for visitors next week for the National Museum of the American Indian trip in a few weeks! I have already sent out a slip about parent volunteers for baked goods table in the mornings and afternoons. Any donations of food or money would be much appreciated since all students plan on going, and it will be an eye-opening experience (permission slips have also been sent out). Enjoy your weekend!   Week Subject: Native Americans Hello, our topic this week is Native Americans, specifically the Powhatan, Lakota, and Pueblo tribes. The worksheet I gave you today is going to be your homework over the next few days as we discuss the similarities and differences between the three tribes. We talked about what a venn diagram is in class. I would like you to fill out the venn diagram by labeling each circle with its own tribe name (either Powhatan, Lakota, or Pueblo). Then, write down things that make each tribe different in their own circle, if two or three tribes have something similar, you write that fact in the overlapping part of the circles. Please turn the assignment in on 9/16/13. You have a while to work on it because we will be talking about Native Americans a lot in the next couple of weeks. (We have already talked about all of the directions for the assignment and parts of a venn diagram in class)
